2. Website content is not legal advice
The content on this Website, including guides, articles, FAQs, calculators and descriptions of the law, is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
The law changes, and how it applies depends on the specific facts of your situation. You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of anything on this Website without obtaining advice tailored to your circumstances.
We take care to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we give no warranty that its content is complete, current or free from error.
3. No client relationship until we confirm instructions
Submitting an enquiry, requesting a quote, using our chat facility or speaking to a member of our team does not make you a client and does not create a solicitor and client or barrister and client relationship.
We only act for you once:
- We have completed conflict checks and client due diligence
- We have confirmed in writing that we accept your instructions
- You have accepted our client care letter and any fee agreement
Until then, we owe you no duty of care in relation to your matter and you should not treat any communication from us as advice on which you can rely. If your matter is urgent or involves a deadline, tell us immediately and consider seeking advice elsewhere in the meantime.
4. Enquiries and information you provide
When you make an enquiry you agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
- You have the authority to provide any information relating to a business or other person
- You will not send us information that is confidential to someone else without their permission, unless it is relevant to a dispute and you are entitled to share it
We may use technology, including artificial intelligence assisted tools, to acknowledge, categorise and assess enquiries and to help prepare initial responses and quotes. A qualified member of our team reviews all substantive advice and quotes before they are sent to you. Please see our Privacy Policy for details of how we handle your data.
Enquiries are confidential and we treat the information you send us with care. However, information sent through the Website or by email before we have accepted your instructions may not attract legal professional privilege.
5. Quotes and fixed fees
Where we are able to, we will provide a fixed fee quote for a defined scope of work. Quotes are:
- Based on the information you have given us and the scope described in the quote
- Valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise
- Exclusive of VAT and disbursements such as court fees, counsel's fees, expert fees and process server fees, unless the quote says otherwise
If the scope of work changes, or the information you gave us proves materially inaccurate or incomplete, we will tell you and agree any revised fee with you before continuing.
Fixed fees are payable as set out in your client care letter. Where a matter concludes early, the fee for the stage of work in progress remains payable unless your client care letter says otherwise.
6. Client care letter takes priority
Once you instruct us, your engagement is governed by our client care letter and terms of business. If there is any conflict between these Website terms and your client care letter, the client care letter takes priority in relation to the legal services we provide.
7. Acceptable use of the Website
You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected system
- Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy or extract content from the Website without our written permission
- Submit false, misleading or abusive enquiries
- Impersonate any person or business
We may suspend or restrict access to the Website at any time without notice if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the Website, including text, guides, graphics, logos, design and code, is owned by or licensed to Pinpoint Lawyers and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download and print content from the Website for your own personal or internal business use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that:
- We exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, content on the Website
- We exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity arising from use of the Website
- Our liability to you in respect of the Website, however arising, is limited to £1,000
